Acari\u00f1o Films was born in 2019 as a space to produce films in a different way.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our philosophy is based on the understanding that each film requires its own time and methods, as well as an authorial artistic vision that must be respected and promoted by the production.<\/span><\/p>\n

We pursue the objective of coming innovative film projects to light, prioritizing the quality of the process and obtaining the best version of our films.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why we tailor our productions to each project: offering creative advice, seeking financial support, guaranteeing the artistic freedom of the filmmaker and ensuring equal production conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aware of the difficulty of self-production for each filmmaker, Acari\u00f1o Films aims to become the environment where these unusual and risky proposals can have a context in which to grow and develop.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve studied Audiovisual Communication and I have specialized in cinema with several master’s degrees and a doctorate that I am currently studying, which led me to live between Burgos, Porto, Santiago de Chile, Barcelona and A Coru\u00f1a. <\/span><\/p>\n

After finishing my degree, I did a short internship at Zeitun Films, where Felipe Lage became a kind of teacher who encouraged me to self-produce my first film, Al\u00e9n Mar (currently in post-production). <\/span><\/p>\n

I have also worked for other film production companies such as Miramemira and Forastero, and with filmmakers such as Oliver Laxe, Santiago Fillol, Ra\u00fal Capdevila and Carlos Mart\u00ednez-Pe\u00f1alver. <\/span><\/p>\n

During these years, I have complemented my formal training with seminars and workshops with filmmakers such as Abbas Kiarostami, V\u00edctor Erice, Boris Lehman and Jodie Mack, and critics such as Jonathan Rosembaum and Roger Koza.<\/span><\/p>\n

My restlessness as a filmmaker and producer led me to the creation of Acari\u00f1o Films in the search for new means of production for my films and to share this experience by producing other authors.<\/span><\/p>\n
